Delton Peacock, age 80 of Brownwood, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 am, Friday, February 15, at the Albany Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Turner officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Delton Gene Peacock was born June 24, 1938, in the Huffstuttle Community, Texas, to Charles Milburn Peacock and Ruth Marie Daniels Peacock. He married Glenda Alaine Hobbs in Breckenridge on May 19, 1962. Mr. Peacock worked in the oil field, ranched and served in the United State Army. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Woodson and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; one sister, Laverne Stoker; and two brothers, Lindon Gene Peacock and G.J. Peacock.

Mr. Peacock is survived by his eight children, Tammy Everette and husband John, Tressie Moore and husband Jim, Tina Brewer and husband Charles, James Peacock and wife Aundrea, Amanda Sargent and husband Stan, Linda Hebel and husband Bob, Alaine Sanders and husband Roger, Gayle Brown and husband David; 18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren.
