The United Fund of Breckenridge has reached the 90 percent mark in its current fundraising campaign,  the organization announced Monday, Feb. 18.

The annual fundraising drive kicked off in October with a goal of $17,000, which will be distributed among 18 local organizations.

United Fund President Sherry Strickland said in October that one of the things she wants the residents of Breckenridge to remember is that the United Fund is a local organization that supports other groups; it is not affiliated with the United Way or any other national or international group. What that means, Strickland said, is that all of the money stays in Breckenridge.

To help the United Fund meet 100 percent of its goal, send your donation of any amount to P.O. Box 170, Breckenridge, TX 76424.

Your donation will help the following organizations:

  • All His Children
  • Boy Scout Troop 63
  • Breckenridge Fine Arts Center
  • Breckenridge Girl Scouts
  • Breckenridge Girls Softball Association
  • Breckenridge Library
