Breckenridge Chamber’s awards ceremony set for Feb. 7

The Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual awards ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 7, beginning at 6 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church’s Christian Life Center, 419 W. Walker St. The Citizen of the Year, Ag Citizen of the Year, and Business of the Year honorees will be recognized at the event.

Carolina Witcher, marketing director for Chick-fil-a in Abilene, will be the guest speaker.

The meal for this year’s event will be catered by the Rusty Rooster and will include green chili chicken enchiladas, beef enchiladas, Mexican rice, charro beans, Mexican street corn, chips with fire-roasted tomato salsa, and Texas sheet cake for dessert.

Admission to the event will be $12 per person (for cash/check) with half of the net admission proceeds going to the Chamber’s Breckenridge High School Scholarship Fund. Admission will be paid at the door; no advanced tickets are being sold. Those paying with a debit/credit card will be charged $12.50 per person.
