John Tom Bloxom, age 68 of Breckenridge, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of John Tom’s life on Friday, January 25, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Shawna’s Bake Barn. Arrangements have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.

John Tom Bloxom, the son of Tom and Louise Rhodes Bloxom, was born in Breckenridge, Texas, on October 20, 1950. From a very early age, John Tom could be found working at the family business, Jess Bloxom and Son Feed. He attended Breckenridge schools, where he participated in 4H and FFA, graduating in 1969. He later attended Cisco Junior College, majoring in General Studies. Mr. Bloxom worked hard as a manager at Bloxom Feed and later made a name for himself as he expanded his interests into ranching and the oil and gas industry. He was well known throughout the community as a kind and generous man, but his foremost love was for his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Bloxom is survived by his three children, Andrea Dixon and husband Jason of Granbury, Jessica Bloxom of Los Angeles, California, and Evan Bloxom and wife Kristian of Granbury; one sister, Elizabeth McNallen and husband Don of Fort Worth; his grandchildren, Katie Nichols, Rebecca Dixon, Reagan Dixon, Benjamin Dixon, Harper Bloxom, Oliver Bloxom, all of Granbury; and one nephew, Spencer McNallen and family of Fort Worth.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that memorials be sent to Dr. Goodall’s House. Condolences may be made online at www.morehartmortuary.net.
