Sunday afternoon accident sends one driver to hospital
A two-vehicle accident on Highway 183 North just outside the Breckenridge city limits on Sunday afternoon seriously injured one driver who was transported to Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
The collision between a Ford double cab pickup and a Ford Fiesta occurred shortly after noon. Emergency units from the Breckenridge Police and Fire departments, along with Sacred Cross Emergency Medical Services and the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident.
The accident is being investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety. The condition of the injured driver was not known at this time, and the names of the drivers have not been released at this time.
