United Supermarket celebrates participation in United Fund

On Thursday afternoon, several employees at United Supermarket in Breckenridge gathered for a group photo with members from the the United Fund board to celebrate 100 percent employee participation in the fundraising effort.

So far, the local United Fund has raised $8,756 — or 51 percent — of their $17,000 fundraising goal for the year. According to United Fund President Sherry Strickland, the supermarket is one three local business that has reached a 100 percent employee participation in giving to the fund. The other two are First National Bank of Albany and Breckenridge and Breckenridge InterBank.
