Rodger Joe Yoes was born March 8, 1963, in Breckenridge, Texas, to Rodger Dale Yoes and Retie Mardell Trout Yoes. He went to school in Breckenridge and later opened Yoes Auto Repair. He owned and operated Yoes Auto for 30 years. On April 9, 1982, Joe married Ruth Annette Blue in Breckenridge. Joe enjoyed flying, riding motorcycles and dirt bikes and racing just about anything. When anyone could think of strong men, very few men would come to mind. But one of those men would be Joe Yoes. He will be remembered as a giant of a man. His fun-loving character ranged from playing tackle football in the yard, wrestling in the house to making easy work of the most difficult jobs around the shop. Everyone thought so much of this man and he will be missed by his entire family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Retie Wesley; step-father Earl Wesley; grandparents, Charlie Robert Yoes, Hattie Taylor Yoes, Emmitt Trout, Mardell Swenson Trout; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Burt and Verna Blue.

He is survived by his wife, Annette Yoes of Breckenridge; two children, Kipi Lachell Yoes Rose and husband Tracy Patterson, and Rodger Dale Yoes and wife Angela, all of Breckenridge; father, Rodger Dale Yoes of Breckenridge; two brothers, Robert David Yoes and wife Shayla, and Kenneth Dale Yoes and Carissa Berkley, all of Breckenridge; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and may be left at Morehart Mortuary. Condolences may be made online at www.morehartmortuary.net.
