Artist Debbie Malone of Runaway Bay is returning to Breckenridge this Saturday to teach a class in fused glasswork.

The class will be from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (with a 2-hour lunch break) on Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Breckenridge Fine Arts Center, 207 N. Breckenridge Ave.

The class will be open to adults and children age 12 and up. The fee is $65 per person and includes all supplies needed.

Students in the class will get to experience kiln-fired glass, creating three fused-glass tiles that they will mount onto a framed board to become a one-of-kind art piece. The class will explore different glass elements, such as glass powders, frits, and stringers.

Class members will have a two-hour break to allow the glass to cool, and they will then return to finish the piece. Each project will be finished and ready to hang by the end of the class.
