Everett Milton Waldrep

Everett Milton Waldrep (Uncle Miltie), age 78, of Moran, Texas, formerly of Breckenridge, went to meet Jesus in His heavenly home on Thursday, October 4, 2018, after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Borger, Texas, on July 20, 1940, to Henry Everett (Hank) Waldrep and Clara (Bradford) Waldrep. He married Leatha Faye (Davis) Waldrep on Sept 24, 1960. He later married Joy (Lawler) Waldrep on June 16, 1980. He worked as a pipeline welder from an early age. When he moved to Breckenridge he was employed by R.E. Dye Manufacturing for several years before becoming a Contract Welder, working in the oilfield. He retired in the early 1980s and worked as ranch foreman for Ola Mae Whitfield in southwest Stephens County. He later was employed by Slide Fire Solutions in Moran before again retiring in January 2018.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge in Breckenridge and a member and Deacon of Gunsight Baptist Church where he was blessed beyond measure by his loving church family.

He is survived by his wife, Joy of Moran; his son Mitchell Waldrep of Hillsboro; daughter Meatha Southern of Denton; son-in-law Kevin Southern of Denton; grandsons Everett Southern of Moran and Quinn Southern of Denton; brother RB Waldrep of San Antonio; sister Lucille Warner of Fruitvale; many nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Party will be held on October 13, 2018, at Gunsight Baptist Church. After a brief service at 11 a.m., with Rex Boggs officiating, visitation and lunch will be in the Fellowship Hall. Interment will be private at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Gunsight Baptist Youth, Scottish Rite Hospital for Children or the donor’s favorite charity.
