City cancels boil water notice

The boil water notice that was issued on Sept. 22 by the City of Breckenridge for the area including the 1300 and 1400 blocks of West Williams Street has been canceled.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers that due to an interruption in service, which was caused by a water line break during construction work, water from the system needed to be boiled prior to consumption.
Corrective actions were taken to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality, and the City has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.
