City cancels one of the boil water notices issued earlier this week

Effective Saturday, Sept. 15, the City of Breckenridge has canceled one of the boil water notices issued earlier this week.

The notice affected water customers in the area from South Miller to South Live Oak streets and from West Elliott to West Williams. and was issued on Sept. 11.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers that due to current interruption in service, water from the system must be boiled prior to consumption. The necessary corrective actions was taken to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality, and the City has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.
