Local TSTC students receive scholarships at banquet
Several local students received scholarships during the Texas State Technical College Fall 2018 Scholarship Banquet at the Breckenridge campus on Tuesday, Sept. 11.

The theme and decorations for this semester’s banquet was patriotic in honor of Patriot Day. The awards banquet, which brings together students and scholarship sponsors, is held at the beginning each semester. Each banquet has a different theme.
Recipients of scholarships this semester include:
- Ruth Annette Yoes, CDC Reach Club Scholarship, presented by Lance Eastman, TSTC Vice President of Student Learning;
- Megan Gann, Burrell McKelvain Scholarship, presented by Burrell McKelvain;
- Nicole Richardson, Breckenridge Garden Club Scholarship, presented Linda Lippe;
- Renee Atkinson, O.H. Reaugh Scholarship, presented by Rick Denbow, Provost of TSTC in Abilene, Breckenridge, Brownwood and Sweetwater; and,
- Bryan Griffith, Stephens Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, scholarship presented by Winnie Barclay and Sandy Broyles.
