City cancels boil water notice for south Breckenridge area
September 08
18:43 2018

Effective Saturday, Sept. 8, the City of Breckenridge has canceled the boil water notice issued earlier this week.

The notice affected water customers in the area of South Cutting, East Cottage, East Power, East Parish, East Valley, East Aberdeen and the 400-100 blocks of South Breckenridge Avenue, and was issued on Sept. 6.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform our customers that due to current interruption in service, water from our system must be boiled prior to consumption. The necessary corrective actions was taken to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality, and the City has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.

For more information, call the City Offices at 254-559-8287 or the Water Office at 254-559- 7249.
