Dorothy Killough, 89, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Funeral service with Father Dewayne Adams officiating will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018, at 10 a.m. at St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.

Dorothy Ann Cooper was born on June 7, 1929, in Colorado City, Texas, to Leon Stewart Cooper and Mabel Earnest Cooper. She graduated from Colorado City High School and McMurry University. She married William Clive Killough in June of 1953 in Colorado City. Dorothy briefly taught school and then later moved to Breckenridge with her husband and in-laws to open the Ben Franklin Store. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church and enjoyed square dancing, quilting, crocheting, crossword puzzles, and traveling, especially to Colorado.

Dorothy is survived by her brother, John Michael Cooper of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; sister, Ruth Cooper Simeone of Toney, Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Mabel Earnest Wilson and Katherine Stewart Bice; and a brother, Leon Stewart Cooper Jr.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church or the Breckenridge Library.
