Boil water notice rescinded by City of Breckenridge

Effective Friday, Aug. 24, the City of Breckenridge has canceled the boil water notice issued earlier this week.

The notice affected water Customers from North Shelton to North Live Oak streets and West Second to West Elm streets, and was issued on Aug. 21.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform our customers that due to current interruption in service, water from our system must be boiled prior to consumption. The necessary corrective actions was taken to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality, and the City has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.
