Lana Marie Roberson
Lana Marie Roberson was born to Billy and Irise Minter Roberson on February 17, 1963, in Breckenridge. She was the fifth of seven children.
Lana professed her love and belief in Christ at an early age and became a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Breckenridge under leadership of Rev. N. Foster.
Lana attended Breckenridge Schools where she played basketball and baseball. She worked at both nursing homes in Breckenridge before moving to Monahans, Texas.
She became ill a year ago. She fought a good fight, she lost the battle on August 13, 2018, but gained the victory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Irise Roberson,; brother, Billy Jr.; and daughter, Esther (Kay) Roberson.
She leaves to cherish her memories, special friend, Bruce Terry of Monahans; daughter, Kathryn Terry of Breckenridge; sons, Anthony Roberson of Amarillo, Skipper Roberson and wife Regina of Jal, New Mexico, and Christopher Terry of Monahans; three sisters, Marilyn Garvin and husband Carl, Renetta Roberson, and Lorea Roberson and husband Victor all of Breckenridge; two brothers, Trey Roberson and wife Trish of Breckenridge, and Boyce Roberson of Las Cruces , New Mexico, 11 grandchildren, and numerous nieces, and nephews, as well as cousins.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, at Melton Kitchens Funeral Home in Breckenridge. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Breckenridge.
