Pete Ruiz
Pete Ruiz, Jr., age 51 of Breckenridge, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 21, at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Don Bearden officiating. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m., Friday, July 20, at Morehart Mortuary Chapel.
Pete Alonzo Ruiz, Jr. was born March 27, 1967, in Breckenridge to parents, Pete Ruiz, Sr. and Dominga Medina Ruiz. He grew up and attended school in Breckenridge. Pete married Rosa Duron on February 14, 1985, in Albany. Pete worked as a truck driver for many years traveling all over the country. He had faith in God and loved his classic rock music and Shania Twain. He enjoyed fishing, camping, joking around, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary Ruiz.
Pete is survived by his wife, Rosa Ruiz; children, Karla Stewart and husband Mitchell, Carlos Ruiz and Brianna Davis, Patrick Hight, Adrianna Ruiz; siblings, Carolyn Rodriquez, Adella Ruiz, Luis Ruiz, Gilbert Ruiz, Rebecca Ruiz, Sylvia Mobley; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
