Boil water notice lifted for West Lindsey residents

The boil water notice that was issued on Wednesday, June 20, has been rescinded by the City of Breckenridge. The situation affected the water customers between Parks and McAmis streets on West Lindsey Street.
The boil water notice was issued because of a requirement by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality after a water line break. According to a notice issued by the city, corrective actions were taken to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels and/or bacteriological quality. After testing results indicated that the water no longer required boiling, the notice was lifted.
