Last year, a group of airplane enthusiasts set out to resurrect the Breckenridge Airshow, 21 years after the last such event at the Stephens County Airport. When the 2017 airshow proved to be a success, the local citizens continued forth with the planning for the 21st Breckenridge Airshow this year, held May 26-27.

The warbirds started arriving from across Texas and around the country on Friday for Media Day, giving journalists an opportunity for photos and interviews. Then, on Saturday, the air performers began their “dress rehearsal” for the crowds. Sunday was “Show Day,” featuring similar performances as Saturday, sometimes with a little more flair. For example, Sunday’s “Tora! Tora! Tora!” show included the fire bombs that were not seen on Saturday.

The excitement of the Breckenridge Airshow is one of those things that is easier to show than it is to tell about, so the Breckenridge Texan has put together a photo gallery with pictures from all three days of the event.
