The boil water notice that was issued last Thursday has been rescinded by the City of Breckenridge. The situation affected the water customers living between West Dyer and Jeanette streets and between North Dairy and Westwood streets.
The boil water notice was issued because of a requirement by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality after a water line break. According to a notice issued by the city, corrective actions were taken to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels and/or bacteriological quality. After testing results indicated that the water no longer required boiling, the notice was lifted.
