BHS theater to present ‘Ash Girl,’ ‘Dearly Departed’ this weekend

The Breckenridge High School Theater Department will present two plays to the community May 18-20 in Bailey Auditorium.

At 7 p.m. Friday, May 18, the student will present “Ash Girl.” Donations will be accepted at the door.

“Dearly Departed” will be presented at 3 p.m. and  7 p.m. Saturday, May 19, and 3 p.m. Sunday, May 20. Donations will be accepted at the door. The play takes a humorous look at the Turpin family and their friends and neighbors as they prepare to bury the family’s patriarch, Bud Turpin, who is described by his widow Raynelle as “mean and surly.” As they gather together, the life-long family dynamics come into play.
