Boil water notice lifted

The boil water notice that was issued last week has been rescinded by the City of Breckenridge. The situation affected the 800 to 1500 blocks of West Elm Street and the 100 block of North Harvey Street.
The boil water notice was issued because of a requirement by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality after a water line break. According to a notice issued by the city, corrective actions were taken to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels and/or bacteriological quality. After testing results indicated that the water no longer required boiling, the notice was lifted.
