The 2018 Stephens County Frontier Days event will officially begin Friday evening, May 4, at the Breck Trade Days barn. On the schedule of events for Friday are the 42 Tournament and the Miss Breckenridge Pageant. Also, there are food vendors set up and the carnival will be operating.

Additionally, the participants in the Chuckwagon Cook-off are set up and getting ready for Saturday’s competition.

The 42 Tournament and the pageant are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. with registrations for both taking place before the start times.

On Saturday, the vendors are scheduled to be open at 8 a.m., and other events start at 9 a.m. with the 5K Fun Run/Walk, Car Show registration and soccer games.

A schedule change: According to the Stephens County Humane Society, the Pet Parade has been canceled due to a lack of volunteers.
