District track meet continues today in Breckenridge

Breckenridge High School is hosting the District 7-3A Track and Field Meet at the track at South Elementary this week. The meet started Wednesday and will continue today, Thursday, April 5.

Today’s field events begin at 11 a.m. with the following:

  • Pole Vault – Varsity Boys
  • High Jump – JV Girls
  • Shot Put – Varsity Girls
  • Discus – JV Boys
  • Long Jump – Varsity Girls
  • Triple Jump – JV Boys

At 12:30 p.m. the following field events will begin:

  • Pole Vault – Varsity Girls
  • High Jump – JV Boys
  • Shot Put Varsity – Boys
  • Discus – JV Girls
  • Long Jump – Varsity Boys
  • Triple Jump – JV Girls

At 3:30 p.m., the following running finals will begin:

  • 3:30 p.m.—400 Meter Relay (JVG, VG, JVB, VB)
  • 3:40 p.m.—800 Meter Run (JVG, VG, JVB, VB)
  • 3:55 p.m.—100 Meter Hurdles (JVG, VG)
  • 4:05 p.m.—110 Meter Hurdles (JVB, VB)
  • 4:15 p.m.—100 Meter Dash (JVG, VG, JVB, VB)
  • 4:25 p.m.—800 Meter Relay (JVG, VG, JVB, VB)
  • 4:40 p.m.—400 Meter Dash (JVG, VG, JVB, VB)
  • 4:50 p.m.—300 Meter Hurdles (JVG, VG, JVB, VB)
  • 5:05 p.m.—200 Meter Dash (JVG, VG, JVB, VB)
  • 5:15 p.m.—1600 Meter Run (JVG, VG, JVB, VB)
  • 5:45 p.m.—1600 Meter Relay (JVG, VG, JVB, VB)

The district includes Breckenridge, Brock, Cisco, Eastland, Millsap, Peaster and Tolar.

The Area meet will be Thursday, April 19, in Jacksboro, followed by the Regional meet April 27-28 in Abilene and the State meet May 11-12 in Austin.
