March 19

  • A deputy transported a Stephens County inmate to a prison near Abilene.

March 21

  • A criminal mischief report was taken at a ranch located near the 13,000 block of U.S. Highway 180 East. Gunshots had damaged property.
  • The sheriff attended the Republican Party County Convention held at TSTC.

March 22

  • A report of identity theft was made by a victim who lives on FM 1853.
  • A theft of a firearm was reported to have occurred in 3200 block of U.S. Highway 180 East.
  • The sheriff and three of his staff joined representatives from The Betty Hardwick Center, Breckenridge High School, the Justice of the Peace, and Breckenridge PD to collaborate and problem solve on how to continue to improve responses to mental health crises in our community.
  • The sheriff attended a town gathering to learn how to prevent suicide and detect those at risk of doing so in our community. This was held at the National Theater.

March 23

  • The S.O. served a felony arrest warrant on a 27-year-old male at his residence on FM 2231. The warrant was a motion to adjudicate for a previous drug charge.

March 24

  • The S.O. and Justice of the Peace Roach responded to an unattended death of a 69-year-old male on CR 220.

March 25

  • A delayed report of a theft during the summer was said to have occurred at residence on CR 313.

Calls for service include but are not limited to: 911 calls, proactive contacts, non-emergency calls, registering sex offenders, serving civil papers, transporting prisoners and juveniles in and out of the county, mental hospital transports, court security, etc.
