City rescinds boil water notice
The City of Breckenridge has ended the boil water notice that was issued on March 5.
The notice affected water customers from South Parks Street to South Rose Avenue and from West Williams Street to West Wheeler Street, including all streets in between.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue the boil water notices to inform customers that due to an interruption in service, water from the system must be boiled prior to consumption.
The City has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.
