Sheriff’s Weekly Summary

For the previous week, the sheriff’s office had 39 calls for service, successfully served two civil papers, and had 35 inmates in the jail as of Sunday, Feb. 25.

February 19

  • A deputy observed a wanted 47-year-old female walking on the side of the road in the 100 block of North Dubois Street. The deputy confirmed her warrant related to a past theft of service offense and arrested her.
  • A deputy issued a criminal trespass warning to a 45-year-old male for a residence in the 6800 block of CR 304.

February 23

  • A deputy made a traffic stop, and discovered that the 49-year-old female driver was wanted for a past offense. She was arrested and taken to the county jail.

February 24

  • An offense report related to theft and fraud was made by a business, where more than or equal to $2,500 but less than $30,000 was misappropriated.

February 25

  • The sheriff’s office served a search warrant and an arrest warrant on a house and its tenant on County Road 150. The search warrant was related to the crime of Misapplication of Fiduciary Property. The tenant, a 55-year-old male, was arrested on a warrant for the same offense and booked into the county jail. Multiple items were seized from the house.

Calls for service include but are not limited to: 911 calls, proactive contacts, non-emergency calls, registering sex offenders, serving civil papers, transporting prisoners and juveniles in and out of the county, mental hospital transports, court security, etc.
