Sheriff’s Weekly Summary

For the previous week, the sheriff’s office answered 26 calls for service, served 11 civil documents, and as of Sunday, Feb. 11, the jail was housing 37 inmates.

February 5

  • A large part of this week was spent conducting following up investigations and completing paperwork for the two major crimes over the last week and half, those being the kidnapping arrest and the sexual assault arrest.

February 6

  • A 61-year-old male was arrested on a sheriff’s office arrest warrant for domestic violence. He was arrested in the 1300 block of CR 218.

February 8

  • Sheriff Holt attended the annual Chamber of Commerce dinner and awards ceremony. It was held at the First United Methodist Church.

February 9

  • A home burglary was reported in the 2500 block of CR 215.

February 10

  • Sheriff Holt attended the annual fundraiser for the West Texas Rehabilitation Center. It was held at the Woman’s Forum.

Calls for service include but are not limited to: 911 calls, proactive contacts, non-emergency calls, registering sex offenders, serving civil papers, transporting prisoners and juveniles in and out of the county, mental hospital transports, court security, etc.
