Glenna ‘Earle’ Sparks
Glenna “Earle” Sparks, 88, passed from this life to the next on Sunday, January 28, 2018. Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 1, 2018, at 2 p.m. in the Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.
Glenna Earle Sanders was born on June 6, 1929, in Dublin, Texas, to George Samuel and Sedora Williams Sanders. She married Curtis Sparks on October 1, 1955, in Breckenridge, and he preceded her in death on February 27, 2001. Earle worked at Davis Manufacturing, Baxley Manufacturing and was a home health worker for Outreach Health.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Smith of Breckenridge; sons, Donald Sparks and wife Elaine and David Sparks and wife Julia, all of Breckenridge; step-son Claude Allen Sparks of Breckenridge; sister-in-law, Elva Rae Sanders of Albany; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandsons, Ronald Dean Reed and Dusty Reed; and three brothers and two sisters.
