The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office will host a bicycle registration event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Jenny Coffee State Farm Agency office, 1818 W. Walker St.

Local families can take their bicycles, skateboards, scooters, hover boards, etc., to the event and the Sheriff’s Office will register them and engrave them. Once on file with the agency, if the registered item is ever stolen, the Sheriff’s Office will already have the serial number and description available to enter into state and nationwide databases, which can help to get any stolen property found and returned, according to Sheriff Will Holt.

Coffee State Farm has donated the bicycle pictured above to be raffled off on Saturday. There will also be free snacks and drinks available at the event.
