Rabbit Division kicks off 60th Annual SCJLS

In Thursday night’s Rabbit Division of the Stephens County Junior Livestock Show, McKayden Ritter won 73 percent of all the categories she entered and swept the grand and reserve prizes, including Best of Show, in the Breeding Rabbits.

Twenty-nine local students had entries in the Rabbit Division, and other first place winners included Hannah Valdez, Collom Perkins, Kaitlyn Crook, Taylor Champion, Jaxson Hubble, Cabel Perkins, Kinley Kanady, Braden Campbell and Landry Woodward.

“These kids need to be complimented tonight for how well these rabbits have been taken care of,” said Rabbit Division Judge Gay Sparks.

Ritter also won the Junior Showmanship in the Rabbit Division, and the Senior Showmanship was won by Kaitlyn Crook. “I’m sorry that I have to pick just one, because they all deserve it,” Rabbit Showmanship Judge Lee Stanley said as he announced the Senior Showmanship award.
