Jan Menkel
Jan Menkel, age 83 of Colorado City, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 12, in the Morehart Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Jerry Shields officiating. Interment will follow in the Harpersville Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.
Jan Hall was born on May 6, 1934, to parents, Thaddeous Edward Hall and Sadie Eugene Murley Hall in Graham, Texas. She graduated from Abilene High School. Jan was a member of First Baptist Church in Colorado City and enjoyed going to church and reading. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thad and Jean Hall; and two sisters, Lynn Gray and Dody Stovall.
She is survived by her children, Christi, Alexis, Kelli, Christopher, Holli, Janet Lawley; one sister, Brook Davis and husband Sam of Albany; sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
