City rescinds boil water notice

City rescinds boil water notice
December 01
15:15 2017

The City of Breckenridge has issued a boil water rescind notice for the water customers on South Cutting Avenue, Aberdeen Street, Valley Drive, Power Street and Parrish Street, effective Friday, Dec. 1, 2017.

On November 28, 2017, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue a boil water notice to inform customers that due to an interruption in service, water from the system must be boiled prior to consumption.

The City has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.

For more information regarding the matter, call the City Offices at 254-559-8287 or the Water Office at 254-559-7249.
