Billie Creager, age 97 of Breckenridge, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017. The family will have a memorial service at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.
Billie Ethelyn Shelton was born on June 6, 1920, to parents, James Cicero Shelton and Willie Jewel Allison Shelton in Woodson. She graduated from Conroe High School at the age of 16. On April 9, 1939, she married Richard Lee Creager in Breckenridge. She worked as a line supervisor at Davis Manufacturing until its closing. Billie was an avid reader and took great pleasure in crocheting, arrowhead hunting, and taking long walks. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Willie Shelton; her husband, Richard Creager; one infant daughter, Linda May Creager; and one brother, Marcus Shelton.
Mrs. Creager is survived by her children, Chester Creager and wife Judy, Johnny Creager and wife Cindy, Lee Sharron Kennedy, all of Breckenridge, and Teresa Bowden of Granbury; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
We would like to give our sincerest thanks to Dr. Perry, Dr. Prater and the staff and nurses at Villa Haven for our sweet mother’s care.
