A flurry of local Christmas activities will include the second annual Breckenridge Fine Arts Center’s Tour of Homes on Sunday, Dec. 3. For a list of additional seasonal events, click here for the Holiday Activities section.

The fundraiser will be from 1 to 4 p.m. and will feature eight local homes decorated for the holidays, as well as an opportunity to bid on Christmas-themed centerpieces and a chance to win a trip. Tickets cost $15 each and are available now at the BFAC, 207 N. Breckenridge Ave. Additionally, tickets may be purchased at any of the homes on the tour or at the BFAC on the day of the event.

“Last year’s Tour of Homes was so successful, that we’ve decided to have one again this year,” said Victoria MacFarlane, director of the BFAC. “We had about 90 people going through the homes last year, and we’re hoping for more this year.”

The tickets will feature a map highlighting the tour’s stops, which will include the homes of the following:
• Nic and Courtney McClymond, 4 Surrey Lane
• Corey Clary, #8 Chapparral
• Ronnie and Maggie Anderson, #5 Chapparral
• Ricky and Tonda Deubler, off of Highway 67
• Darrell and Susan Shortes, 382 FM 1032
• Seth and Anna Shortes, 283 FM 1032
• Ky and Shelby Kennedy, 10955 Highway 183 South
• Vic and Molly Johnson, 406 N. Easton

The Tour of Homes silent auction will feature eight holiday-themed centerpieces donated by local residents and businesses, including the three pictured and in the top photo.

The homes are not listed in any particular order, and participants may start the tour at any of the homes. Some of the stops will offer refreshments, as will the BFAC, which will be open on Sunday during the Tour of Homes.

With the purchase of a ticket, each Tour of Homes visitor will be entered into a drawing for a three-day, two-night stay anywhere in the United States, as well as a $500 airline voucher. Each ticket holder may also buy additional raffle tickets for $5 each.

A silent auction will feature eight centerpieces with themes ranging from “Ho Ho Santas” to “The Nutcracker.” Bidders may see the centerpieces at the BFAC and may phone in bids on Sunday.

All of the funds raised will be used to benefit the BFAC.

For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the BFAC or call 254-559-6602.
