Elks Lodge to host benefit concert, barbecue on Saturday

The Breckenridge Elks Lodge will host a benefit concert, barbecue and silent auction for Landon Wayne Freeze from 4 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Dec. 2, at the lodge, located on FM 2231 just south of U.S. Highway 180 West.
Landon is the 5-year-old son of Aletha and Jerry Freeze of Graham, and he has been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. The event will raise funds to help the family pay for his insulin treatments and other medical expenses.
The Hodges Family will perform, including Kenneth and the rest of the Hodges. Cover charge will be $5 per person. The silent auction will be from 4 to 9 p.m.
Bear Grissom and Kyle Atkinson will be barbecuing, and dinner plates will cost $10 each. They will start serving at 6 p.m.
