Mary Lois Jacobs was born February 9, 1928, in May, Texas, to Ira Merlin Gilland and Mary Elizabeth Berry Gilland.
She died November 14, 2017, in Elizabeth, Kentucky, surrounded by loving family.
Mary graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1943. She married William Lee “Bill” Jacobs, Jr. on August 9, 1944, in Breckenridge, Texas. Bill and Mary Lois were married over 50 years. Mary Lois was retired from Burleson Independent School District. She was a member of the Burleson Home and Garden Club, and a member of the Friends of the Library. Mary Lois was a member of First Baptist Church in Burleson, Texas.
Mary Lois is survived by four children, William L. Jacobs III of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Randy M. Jacobs, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jonathan Christopher Jacobs, Weatherford, Texas, Jason Jacobs, Heather Cecil, and Justin Jacobs, and brother-in-law T.C. Harris of Breckenridge, Texas.
