Breckenridge Chamber seeking new board members
The Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce is seeking business and community professionals, interested and willing to dedicate their time, energy and expertise, to serve on the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Candidates must be willing to serve a three-year term, beginning Jan. 1, 2018. Applications are considered based on individual accomplishments, contributions and dedication to the local community.
The Chamber Board of Directors annually considers applications and nominations in order to maintain a board composition of 15 directors to represent the Chamber membership. Currently, the Chamber is seeking candidates to fill three vacancies for the 2018-2021 term.
The Board of Directors is vested as the governing body of the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce and will determine the objectives, polices and activities/events, as well as, ensure the fiscal responsibility of the Chamber.
Directors are expected to attend monthly board meetings from noon to 1 p.m. on the last Wednesday of each month, organize and participate in community events, and make themselves available for special meetings and events throughout the year.
Interested individuals should submit a letter of interest or letter of nomination to be reviewed and consider by the Chamber’s nominations committee. Applications must be a member of the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce, in good standing, or an employee of a member and must have been a Chamber member for at least one year. Letters of interest/letters of nomination must be received by Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 5 p.m. Options for submissions are as follows:
