Cody Critchfield, age 34 of Abilene, formerly of Breckenridge, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 9, at First Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Rodgers officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.
Cody Shawn Critchfield was born Aug. 28, 1983, in Amarillo, Texas, to his parents, Shawn Critchfield and Frankie Ann Rogers. Cody was preceded in death by his mother, Frankie Rogers; four grandparents, James F, Rogers, Anna Rogers, JoAnn Critchfield and Bill Nichols; one uncle, James L. Rogers; and one cousin, Jerod Phillips.
He is survived by his children, Kobe and Kylia; his parents, Shawn and Vicki Critchfield; two sisters, Heather Pettke and husband Dustin, and Misty Taylor; one brother, Bud Taylor; grandparents, Mattie Nichols, Benny Eldridge, Fran Hamilton, JT Degraffenreid, Tracy Critchfield and Betty Critchfield; one niece and four nephews, Abby Pettke, Alex Pettke, Peyton McPhail, Trey McPhail and Dylan McPhail; aunts and uncles, Stacey and Kevin Phillips, Billy and Tracy Nichols, Terry Taylor; his girlfriend, Sharon Cusick; and multiple cousins and second cousins.
