Aliene Harris, 91 of Breckenridge, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 30, at Morehart Mortuary Chapel with Melinda Lane and Will Thompson officiating. A private interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 29, at Morehart Mortuary.

Aliene Cash was born Sept. 17, 1926, in Mill Springs, North Carolina, to parents, John William Cash and Daisy Brown Cash. On April 6, 1947, she married O.C. Harris, Jr. in South Carolina. Aliene was a member of the Woman’s Forum, the Breckenridge Garden Club, LLL and Covenant Tabernacle Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John William and Daisy Cash; her husband of 46 years, O.C. Harris, Jr.; two sons, David Harris and Michael Harris; one sister, Virginia Cash Stevenson; six brothers, John Thomas Cash, Marvin Lee Cash, William Junior Cash, Woodrow Cash, George Donal Cash, Alfred Wayne Cash; and one grandson, Brandy Harris.

She is survived by her daughter, Melinda Lane and husband Denny of Breckenridge; eight grandchildren, Jennie Powada of Arkansas, Lee Rowland and wife April of Springtown, Christie Harden and husband Charles of Greer, South Carolina, Christopher Harris and wife Elizabeth of Crowley, Michael Russell and wife Mary of Breckenridge, Jennifer Dauer and husband Nathan of Breckenridge, Trisha Prellwitz and husband Jeremy of Crowley, Justin Lane of Plymouth, Minnesota; one special granddaughter, Janelle Willis; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
