Max Neal

Don Max Neal, 79, of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away on Sept. 14, 2017 in Fort Worth, Texas. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sept. 17, at Breckenridge Cemetery with Rev. Andy Channer officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary in Breckenridge.

Max was born in Plainview, Texas, on Aug. 25, 1938, to parents Roy Winton Neal and Jewell Green Neal. He graduated from Spring Lake High School in Earth, Texas, and worked as a salesman at Lubbock Electric for 22 years before starting his own business Texcraft Inc. in 1976 in Lubbock, Texas. Max married Linda June Havins on June 25, 1999; they were married 18 years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and playing guitar. Max was preceded in death by: father, Roy Winton Neal; mother, Lula Jewell Neal; sister, Sue Neal-Wicks; brother, Leonard Stephens; son, Alan Neal; and, granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Masters-Crosslin.

Max is survived by his wife, Linda June Neal; five children; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
