Deborah Gilbert, age 65 of Breckenridge, passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017. Per her wishes, Mrs. Gilbert was cremated and the family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.
Deborah Ethel Walker was born Oct. 19, 1951, in Breckenridge, Texas, to parents, Clarence Walker and Ethel Lilian Dempsey Walker. Deborah graduated from Woodson High School in 1969 and then attended Weatherford College for two years. On Nov. 28, 1978, she married Jerry Gilbert. Deborah worked as a cook and then as a charge nurse at Stephens Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed painting and was an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ethel Walker; and her husband, Jerry Gilbert.
Deborah is survived by her son, Jason Blevins and wife Chasity of Breckenridge; two grandchildren, Chandler Jace Blevins and Keeton Chase Blevins; and her faithful companion, Tuffy.
