The community of Breckenridge has several sports and sports-related organizations available for children this fall, and several have registration deadlines that are rapidly approaching.

Breckenridge Youth Flag Football League

The Breckenridge Youth Flag Football League is a non-contact football league for local boys and girls in Pre-K through sixth grade.

Teams will be divided into divisions once registration is final and the coaches meet. According to the group’s Facebook page, the divisions are subject to change, based on the number of players enrolled. If there aren’t enough kids signed up for a safe division, there won’t be one for that age group, and the registration fee will be refunded. “Player safety will be the number one goal in determining divisions,” the organizers state on the page.

The registration fee is $50 per player, and a jersey is included with the registration.

There will be a registration table at the Meet the Bucks event, scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, in the 100 block of North Court Street, just east of the Courthouse. The last day to register will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at Hibbett Sports, 3732 W. Walker St.

For more information, visit the group’s Facebook page, Breckenridge Youth Flag Football League (@breckflag).
