The annual Meet the Bucks event will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, to celebrate the 2017-18 Breckenridge Buckaroos.
This year’s event will take the form of a block party and is scheduled to take place in the 100 block of North Court Street, on the east side of the Stephens County Courthouse.
There will be introductions of the Breckenridge High School fall sports teams – football, volleyball and cross country – the cheerleaders and the band.
The classes of 2018, 2019 and 2020 will have fundraisers, a bounce house, dunking booth and helmet tunnel. There will be booths by Dippin’ Dots, KB’s Burger Depot, FFA and the BHS Band. There will be sign-up booths for the Breckenridge Booster Club, MOB, Breckenridge Youth Flag Football League, Young Bucks, Young Bucks Cheerleaders and Little Bucks Volleyball.
The first Buckaroo football game will be Friday, Sept. 1, against Cisco High School in Buckaroo Stadium. The volleyball season is already underway, with games taking place most Tuesdays and Saturdays. The cross country will compete in Santo on Saturday, Aug. 26.
