Doyle Waggoner

On Monday, Aug. 7, Leslie Doyle Waggoner flew away to his Heavenly Home. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.

He was born to Jess Oliver Waggoner and Pearl Brannon Waggoner on Sept. 9, 1931, in Wink, Texas. He attended Breckenridge High School, Ranger Junior College, and Hardin Simmons University, and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

With his wife by his side, he became a successful business owner, running Waggoner Transfer and Storage since 1969. He has two brothers, J.O. and Bobby Dan, both of Breckenridge; and two sisters, Nell of Breckenridge and Janis of Houston.

He married Eulalia Elaine Crestinger in April 1955. They had three children, Nikki, husband Raymond; Leslie Jr.; and Douglas, wife, Dianna, all of Breckenridge; two grandsons, Jimbo, wife Michelle and Christopher wife Nicole; granddaughter, Michelle and wife, Penny; eight great-grandchildren, Tristan, Theya, Jayce, and Ryder Adams; Isaac, Ethan, and Daniel Donaho and Olivia Waggoner; one great-great-grandson, Lyric Adams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Gene; and two great-grandchildren, Kandra and Christian Adams.

Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, the family celebrated his life at the home of him and his wife.
