Tuesday, Oct. 4
National Night Out
On Tuesday, Oct. 4, the Breckenridge Police Department will host the National Night Out event in Breckenridge at the Stephens County Law Enforcement Center, 210 E. Dyer St., from 6 to 8 p.m. The BPD will team up with the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office, Breckenridge Fire Department and other first responders and community organizations to focus on growing the partnership between law enforcement and the community in the fight against crime. Thursday Oct. 6
Kody Norris Show
Word of Life Ministries-Breckenridge will bring the Kody Norris Show to Breckenridge for a concert on Thursday, Oct. 6, at Bailey Auditorium, 500 W. Lindsey St. The pre-show will be by a local family, The Hinshaws. The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the doors will open at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at Bertie & Olif, 207 W. Walker St., or online at Ticket Leap.

Tax Office Closed
The Stephens County Tax Office will be closed on Thursday, Oct. 6, from 8 a.m. until at least 1 p.m. for an election school to be held for election precinct judges and workers in regards to the upcoming November election.  The office will re-open at 1 p.m. that same day.

 Oct. 8-9
The Gathering
Breckenridge’s Elliott Street Church of Christ will host The Gathering, a gospel event, at the Trade Barn in the Breckenridge City Park on Oct. 8 and 9. Churches from several area communities will join the “Unity in Christ” event, which will include guest speakers and a Capella singing. More details to come.

Friday, Oct. 14
Friends of Historic Breckenridge will host a concert by Texas Hill on Friday, Oct. 14. Due to the ongoing work at the theater to repair damage caused by the hail storm earlier this year, the concert will be held at Canyon Roads Barn and Grill. Admission will cost $20 per person. More details to come.

Saturday, Oct. 22
Health Fair
Health Fair Stephens Memorial Hospital will host its annual Health Fair from 7 to 11 a.m. Oct. 22 at First Baptist Church’s Family Life Center. More details to come.
