Jacob Trejo, Sr.

Jacob Trejo, Sr.

Jacob Trejo, 63, of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., March 4, 2021, in the Chapel of Memories with Deacon Rudy Calsoncin officiating the service. Interment to follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Melton Kitchens Funeral home staff.

Jacob was born March 14, 1957, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to parents Pedro and Luisa Trejo. He later met Juana Maldonado and married August 15, 1986. They were blessed to have one daughter, Stella. The family has resided in the Breckenridge for many years, where Jacob was well known in the community his construction skills and especially his welding. One of the greatest compliments given to Jacob and his work with the customers that he served was that he was a man of his word. Always doing his best to provide for his customers the highest quality of work. Jacob did not believe of having any unhappy customer. He would tell people that his work was something he loved daily.

Jacob also had the same belief system with his family as the husband, father, and a friend. He always wanted to make sure and be there in anyway he possibly could for those he dearly loved. Jacob’s friends knew that he would always be there to help if they called on him. Jacob had a talent/hobby with his music. He loved to get behind a mic and sing with his fellow musicians.

He will be missed by many in the community that he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents. Jacob is survived by his wife, Juana Martinez-Trejo; daughter, Stella Murillo; son, Jacob Trejo, Jr.; and grandchildren, Blake Martinez, Joseph Perez, Jayce Felix Trejo, Ezekeil Trejo and Aiden Murillo, along with many friends.

Memorials can be made in the donor’s choice in Jacob’s name. Condolences may be made at meltonkitchens.com.
