BISD Spring Break
Breckenridge schools will be out for Spring Break during the week of March 11-15.

Saturday, March 16
Artist’s Reception
The Breckenridge Fine Arts Center will host a reception for Tonya Holmes Shook from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 16, to open the exhibit “History of the Common Man,” featuring the paintings of the artist from Snyder. The exhibit will feature 150 of Shook’s work in the Main Gallery through May 3. The reception on March 16 will be free and open to the public. The Breckenridge Fine Arts Center is located at 207 N. Breckenridge Ave. and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call the BFAC at 254-559-6602.

Friday, March 22
Knight of Columbus Lenten Fish Fry
The St. Jude Knights of Columbus Council of Albany/Breckenridge, will have a Lenten Fish Fry from 5 to 8 p.m. March 22 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Jesus Parish Hall, 208 S. Miller St. in Breckenridge. The meal will include fish, hushpuppies, French fries, coleslaw, beans and tea. The cost is $10 per plate for adults, and $5 per plate for children under 12. Saturday, March 30
God, Girls and Giggles
First United Methodist Church will host God, Girls and Giggles: Ladies Night Out at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 30. Tickets must be purchased by Wednesday, March 20. The guest speaker will be Jenny Everett Holt, and the emcee will be Chelsey McClymond. Tickets will cost $15 each; call 254-559-8208 for tickets. The dinner will be catered by Brenda Smock, and door prizes will be awarded.

Thursday, April 4
Voter Registration Deadline
The last day to register to vote to be eligible to vote in the upcoming Breckenridge school board election will be Thursday, April 4. For more details, click here to go to the Breckenridge Texan article about the election.
